a brilliant find

This morning while running errands with the kids, we made a quick stop in the local second hand store.   Because I have a love of vintage fabric,  I periodically like to check out the linens section in these types of stores. You never know what you will find.   

This morning didn't disappoint. 

Isn't this sheet absolutely darling?  And for $2, it is the latest addition to my treasure trove of fabric.  Stay tuned...the possibilities for this retro beauty are endless :)

A few new colors for sale....



onsies

I had a package of brand new onsies just sitting around that I had intended to use for Elle, but she long outgrew... so I thought I'd pretty them up a bit and put them for sale.

This one comes with a set of 3 hand-sewn appliques that can be attached to the onsie with velcro.

I'm not sure if anyone reads this blog, but today I'm seeking advice :)  I've started making a new kind of flower.

 

My question is this....What would YOU do with it?   I've attached a hair clip to this one, and am currently selling it as such.  But I'm just curious what this flower says to you :)

The large daisy seems to be the flower of choice!  So, I've been busy making more...

 I've also listed some hearts...for Valentines Day, naturally :)

A close second to my love affair with flowers are vintage fabric and birds.

I have combined these 2 loves, and am once again having a lovely old time creating these little feathered friends.  

Sewn from some darling old sheets and glued to cards...the bird on the left is my favorite- from the sheets on my bed growing up!

Like the flowers, I've been leaving some as they are...
